Compare large-opening, symmetrical-entry and enclosure sliders before specifying moving and fixed glass.
Custom sliding designs are useful when the project needs more than a standard door configuration. The collection includes SS08-3, SS08-3A, SS08-4 and DS13 large-opening variants. Compare the actual elevation drawing before choosing a model: the suffix identifies a layout, and a similarly named product can use a different division of moving and fixed glass.
SS08-3 is presented as a large-opening soft-closing single-slider design, while DS13-1 and DS13-2 belong to the double-sliding range. Plan the usable entry, fixed-panel location and reach to the controls. Do not infer the number of moving panels or entry position from an overall width or a generic product description alone.
The SS08-4 is described as a middle symmetrical-opening layout. Compare its drawing with a side-entry design and the room plan. Consider where the panels travel, where fixed glass sits and how the entry aligns with the bathroom approach. A visually centered design must still meet the project’s clearance and support requirements.
Measure the finished width, height, wall alignment and threshold, plus the additional dimensions identified in the chosen model drawing. Large-opening configurations can require several labeled widths or heights. Keep site measurements separate from fabrication allowances and have the complete configuration checked before ordering the glass, rail and supports.
Soft closing is available on the named SS08 and DS13 custom designs, but hardware and glass choices must be confirmed per model. Check orientation, finish, support and included components in the final selection. For a corner project with a return panel, also compare custom shower enclosures rather than choosing solely from a straight opening’s width.
